PRODUCTION PLAN:
Current plan is each of the performers will have their own designated area in the house, with hopes to begin outback. The idea is to have the attendees visit the performer’s micro-universes within the ramshackle bungelow, maybe even migrating into the deapths and concluding in the sound proofed and performance ready basement. We’re still ironing it out but our backyard deck is huge and would love to at least start there, with Wet Velvet’s large membership easily fitting inthe DIMMING ROOM studio basement, or maybe the living room. Keats is planning to define each of the sets with a unique installation using lighting, projection mapping, set design, etc.
Current FLOW:
BENTABIA opens in backyard with a shaded exotic garden aesthetic.
MOON DIVISION performs in the RED ROOM in an ART DECO inspired theater room.
WET VELVET performs in front of the big fire place mantle and heart of the residence with many talismans and books abound! or we descend to the depths of the DIMMING ROOM for an immersive VIDEOMANCY performance!
GENERAL RULES:
THIS EVENT IS PRIVATE & INVITE ONLY
LIVE PERFORMANCES and INTERVIEWS will be FILMED in MULTIPLE FORMATS (meaning many cameras used so expect to make an appearance somewhere and, if inclined, wear your best ‘Ineffable ME’ unique getup so you feel empowered to be captured as part of the festivities); retakes and technical breaks will be necessary but this will be more performance art than film production.
ALL ATTENDESS MUST CONSENT TO BEING FILMED.
NOTE: UNINVITED AND/OR UNVOUCHED FOR ATTENDEES WILL BE TURNED AWAY, and if we must reiterate, THIS IS A SACRED SPACE CARED FOR AND RIDDLED WITH TOTEMIC ITEMS EVERYWHERE BY TWO HARD WORKING ARTISTS, PLEASE TREAT THE ABODE WITH RESPECT AND REVERENCE. WE WILL CAST DIRTY SPIRITS AND ANNOYING LOST SOULS ON THE PERSON WHO DISRESPECTS THIS HAUNTED BUNGELOW.
About WAYWARD WORSHIP:
WAYWARD WORSHIP is a project that could only rebirth through the artistic magicks of HAUNTOMANCY. The hauntomantik practice allowed me to push through the traumatic whimper a passionate and resonate dream project fell an apathetic end to, and has given me the invocation insight to revive the heretical talkshow corpse and dress it in the garb only a decade of hard labored art magick conjuration could afford. 10 years ago, I somehow managed to host, film and edit this ramshackle pilot that fell into the traditional talkshow format – far from the intended tent revival rebellion and local showcase of luminaries intended. It didn’t help that the Revelator shown in the pilot is one sweating in long-deadskin and bioelectrics, unfit for heavy machinery use let alone the direction and coordination of a studio taping effort. I’m more impressed in his resolve to still edit the event into a digestible pilot knowing full well that the drugs I was addled with during the taping and suffered through the nightmare nights of footage sifting and editing on ramshackle gear. So the pilot proved the production was possible, but it didn’t prove what the point of it was and that is arguably far more worth the aches.
Now, working in congress with the newly freed Spektre from its disgruntled unfinished business limbo-laden 10 year prison, we are ready to reignite the heretic showcase of truly iconoclastic muses, filmed in the totemic sacred space of the DIMMING ROOM’s abode, with intentional attendees ready to participate in the grand, thematic ritual of the unique set-design attuned performances, the respective interviews and the familiarity that only a reverence that a familar supporter could provide, and the decade of videomancy, audiomancy and event production now in tow. The unique sets will be filmed in multiple DEAD TECH NECROMANTIK analog video formats, a high quality multi-tracked audio recording will be captured, and the weave and wonder a three act, performance/interview cycle can wyrd when tethered through an overarching participatory divergent magick ritual that will assuredly cleanse the current for its realized resolve to finally take hold.
