A HAUNTOMANTIK TALE OF THREE ASPEKTRES



The evolution and practice of HAUNTOMANCY’s distinct eras have largely bee n catalogued captured through the audiomantik workings’ art sigils disguised as album releases. Opposed to the main workings’ musickal releases that simply document and dispatch the sonicks from within the Dimming Room’s conjuration such as DAKOTA SLIM’S “Spektre Working,” ECTOGASM’s “Aspektre Working” and REVELATOR ROSZ’s “Prospektre Working” were the documented, only edited for chaptering ARTifacts of the rituals themselves, ALGOL was going to be my high-minded attempt to codify and conjure the magnitudes of the PHANTOKON workings as conceptual E.P.s And ALGOL I ∴ DISOLVER was just that:
A punchy declaration that harkened back both literally through conceptual tracks and sonics to the SPEKTRE WORKING, ALGOL II was intended to progress within the same format. I know now how dastardly ho-hum that intention was, as the ASPEKTRE WORKING before it encapsulated somatick experimentation, brave abandonment and heteronym exaltation, to try to fit its multitudes within the same schema as ALGOL I’s, in any machination, was to create a war between selves: the pragmatic, and the magickal.
A full written treatise about the revelatory factions found within the months of false starts, wreckless deadline setting and ego-distintigration concerning the constitutions of artist and art and they’re messy dynamics writ large, hell, the communion and conversation with the tulpa of ALGOL II was far more revealing about the nature of purpose, craft, artistic integrity, hidden desire, and the cost of sacrificing the process for the appeasement of faceless onlookers.
Not unlike the heteronym creating hyper-channeled affair of the ASPEKTRE working before it, ALGOL II ECO found appeasement of the heteronym and hauntsigil by offering intentional, highly produced and rendered reality tunnels of the three realities releasing an already incendiary artistic installment would fever the creative impulses towards. So instead of an evolutionary but form rhyming ALGOL II ECO installment only, the impulse to create a “lore score” of a solidified and poignant solitary release was created, and the streaming specific release sans a lot of those highly conceptual impulses also kind of won out as a truncated form was mastered with streaming’s terrible fidelity in mind as a whole separate version of ALGOL II entirely.
Three conjurations of one album. The ghost of the ASPEKTRE appeased through experiencing the madcap conjuration of all of the above. What once was unsatiated as hungry ghost gnawing for brash and big conjuration is now robust phantom satisfied and ready to shed the affair for the sake of its Phantokon final form, THE PROSPEKTRE.
However, the ASPEKTRE isn’t fully done. You see, the correspondence of vectors between the HOWLROUND TROIKATYCH and the PHANTOKON says that the ASPEKTRE chiefly revolves within the SOMATICK, the haptic and immediate, the PRESENT PRESENCE. And what better way to call-and-response its need for a fuller choir than a call to arms for those audiomantically minded to chop, screw, dissolve, echo and resonate the ulterior and alternate forms of the songsigils. Truly, a metaphysically minded emcee with a mind for artistic and wholly unique rhythmik pitter patters would find these highly conceptual but brutally groovy instrumentals…fun:
