FROM WITHIN

This grouping was selected at random from a communally generated master list of four hundred. It is my hope that these ten items can be used as a forecast or guide to your week ahead.  You can also use a ten sided dice to turn each weeks items into a miniature oracle. Whether you choose to take these items literally or metaphorically, it’s up to you to find how these things may help. For a more thorough overview go to Introducing Bottomless Bag and Bottomless Bag 01

DIGGING DEEPER

This week I have another pair of recommendations for y’all. I find these things to be powerful and full of use but your mileage may vary.

Xero Music Hour

I’ve been following the work of Zac Bentz for over a decade at this point but nothing has hit me as hard as his Xero Music Hour podcast. Zac takes various bits from his massive body of work and remolds it into a potent hour of drone soundscapes. Every episode is an amazing experience and well worth the price of admission. I thoroughly recommend getting a subscription to his bandcamp if you like what you hear.

A Book of Surrealist Games and DIY Magic

Sometimes you have to find ways to give up a little control and these books have so many recipes to do just that. I’m giving these both as recommendations but each of them are really for different tastes. If you’re more of the traditional artistic type, A Book of Surrealist Games is for you. DIY Magic has more of a contemporary look at this kind of thing. I also have to confess that the section on making your own tarot decks is where I got the idea to do The Disruption Generator so you can really blame Anthony Alvarado for all of this. Look for the first printing with the blue cover because certain sections got cut out to appeal to a more mainstream audience in the later versions.

That’s all for now. Come back next week for another dip into the BOTTOMLESS BAG.

As always:
