Keats Ross, and Mary Joon of Moon Division performing as the conjoined twin project, MOON∴REVEL, was captured on 3/30/25 in The Dimming Room, Seattle, WA. This is a live rendition of the Rosz tune, “Only I Survived” from the forthcoming album, “ROSZ ALGOL,” the audio is completely unedited.
REVELATOR ROSZ “ONLY I SURVIVED”:
I, Revel Rosz originally shared some insights of the song and recording on / pragmagick : “Mary and I finally recorded some live music and visuals in the Dimming Room yesterday. Although the audio is completely live and unedited, I took the time to quickly throw some visual pizazz with the otherwise static shot of the room recording utilizing only super-imposition or color edits.
This song is all too apropos of Neptune exiting Pisces into Aries yesterday, the first Neptunian shift since 2011. The song mostly concerns my time in 2011, an off-year I spent wounding and wound-licking in Arizona during 2010-2011. Since then, I’ve been adamant about the confluence of creativity and magick as my sort of transformation from hollow husk to hallowed-self. And it all stems from surviving deep wallows in those alienated and hedonistic horrors of 2011. Though, the song’s refrain issues the contradiction that I’ve also known unfortunately found: just because you survived doesn’t mean you live. So it’s really about the sort of spiritual narcissism that comes after beating such a horror-full bout, especially if you’re not mired in the care needed for such a transformation… This was a proper test proving that we can film and capture, in room, a grand sound and visual representation of the custom and intentional visual language this new REVELATOR ROSZ album is mired in – a very hauntomantik one -utilizing dead tech like broken camcorders, old video switchers and projection to illicit the dipping between selves the creative constructs inspire.
