THEE FIRST TEXT READ ON THEE 23rd OV COURSE!
I wanted to explore the abilities of my hard labored tech experiments in videomancy and videography, as well as livestreaming within the many beautiful vignettes of our new home, and especially our living room’s bungelow fireplace – I foresaw a calming resonant series of readings by the fireplace to pick-up and enliven the podcast’s endless battles with experimenting against the homogenization of the medium. What a simple, effective and utterly useful series it would be to read full public domain works, or large sections of copyrighted books by the fireplace, and discuss with viewers the resonant echoes of each passage! Well, knowing full-well the tech, demeanor and countenance needed to orchestrate such a thing is no small task. But fuck it, we persist!

I gave patrons the ability to choose from three extremely foundational texts to read from: Robert Anton Wilson’s THE COSMIC TRIGGER, William Murray’s ANARCHIC HARMONY and THEE PSYCHICK BIBLE – surprisingly, the PSYCHICK BIBLE won without much contest! (I still plan to read the other two at one point or another if this goes well!)
The first work chosen by Patrons was Thee PSYCHICK BIBLE by GENESIS P. ORRIDGE and contributors. This compendium of metaphysical musings is the scripture of which their decades long multi-media and disparate, anarchic art magicks were tethered. It has become a brilliant work of modern magick, and one that deserves further investigation within the academic pantheon of the Western Occult Tradition, however, we’ll keep the tweeds and loafers at the college – this investigation will surely be with the rocknroll poetic plummer, pauper philosopher lens.
Hilarious and trite blurb by Google Books: “Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth (TOPY) will be remembered for its crucial influence on youth culture throughout the 1980s, popularizing tattooing, body piercing, “acid house” raves, and other ahead-of-the-curve cultic flirtations and investigations.”
Thee Psychick Bible has been extremely impactful in my early practitioner days, especially around its release in 2010, which was the worst year of my life, and one that utilized Chaos Magick tenets and deviations to help evade. I give the power of TOPY, Temple of Psychick Youth, through homage by cribbing their unique spelling of PSYCHICK to connote the of-the-mind Shade within the cosmology of Hauntomancy. They also helped usher my supreme need to customize the language of my cosmology with perverted spelling and semi-otic-ally charged a/u/lteriors writ large– I blame TOPY first as to why I tether the ‘K’ so wontonly as a utility throughout my writings to connote metaphysically-specified orientation of a term, even if its lineage begins at Crowley!

I am always attempting to create multi-faceted projects that would cover the multitudes of mediums and creative endeavors I venture into, and I realized that I’ve been so incredibly ripped up into the “raditudes” of self-expression that a visit from old sources, in a ramshackle educational manner others may find valuable, would tickle that itch. There’s numerous pragmatic and magickal reasons of which to read and explore exceptional works in a livestream setting, from the technical set design, filming and “travel” livestream experiments to the many footnotes needed for the forthcoming Hauntomancy primer, The Spektrivium, but I’ll quickly discuss the overarching objectives:
The goal of this is not only to investigate and refortify the foundational Tethers, the scripture of WE THE HALLOWED, currently being re-developed with partner Eric J. Millar, but also the growth and deviation of its source code within my personal trajectory as both artist and practitioner (what’s the damn difference?!). After years of experimenting with the livestream format and yearn to source a true objective outside solely artistic purposes such as the live audiomancy DIM SESSIONS, I believe the LIMINALSTREAM has a the opportunity for an educational oriented communal discourse while, perhaps, sending a beacon to the outer reaches of would-be looky-loos–so let’s experiment. My true aim is this stream, and its probable series, will be a generative conduit within the PRAGMAGICK multimedia grimoire through its long-needed hoisting, cheering and cataloging the formative works that tether a unique confluence of traditional and anarchic praxis while allowing for continual and consistent output as we traverse these many texts.
A major syncro-punch of this episode’s abnormal rescheduling through mental health, work travel, etc. was that it inevitably fell on the TOPY sacred number of 23 – the Burroughs / Gysin thirdmind hallowed digit and one I share deeply as it is also my birth day, and one day after founder Genesis P-Orridge’s at that!
As I codify my own Hauntomantik cosmology, and especially, the outer-body prism of WE THE HALLOWED and its scriptural Tethers, I am finding a need for re-investigation of the foundational and formative works that helped attune this current trajectory. And as I churn over the 100+ podcasts, countless essays, articles, and livestreams I’ve created concerning the confluence of art and magick (Spoiler alert: they’re the same thing!) to further define my own praxis, Hauntomancy, and the further developments of the Divergent Magick Grimoire schema, I am reminded of just how wild, strange and iconoclastic the resonant of artists and practitioners’ temporal fits and schisms’ were, are and forever will be! The sheer utility of this liminalstream is proof-positive that these luminaries HAUNT ON.
