Howdy from Portland, Haunts –
As I wrap a heavy and Hauntomantic respite in my old terra, I managed to take time to finalize a draft for the forthcoming DIVERGENT MAGICK ANARCHIC GRIMOIRE I am publishing 12/12.
It was important to meet the deadline before 12/6 so that I could have a gaggle printed, sent to me, and inscribed & sent to friends, family & supporters for the horrordays.
Above is the working draft of my foreword that introduces the anarchic schema for you to create your own praxis.
I would love to send you one for your support. Please message me a working address to receive one!
Our Revel Rosz & Moon Division Portland show was one for the books. So much to regale, alas – once this grimoire is printed I’ll be able to sleep a wink. Maybe.
Just got home from seeing “It Came From Kuchar” – a documentary about the Kuchar brother filmmakers who are DIY film maestros from the 60s to present, elbow rubbing the likes of Warhol and direct inspiration to visionaries like John Waters. In the film, a present day snapshot at George, the overzealous and impassioned visionary, was editing a ramshackle student film he oversaw. And while wrapping up this film project he said to himself something along the lines of
“This film is almost done, and I feel miserable about it – I guess it’s time to start another one.”
I couldn’t have felt more seen.
Back in Seattle tomorrow night. Until the next one – HAUNT ON,
