Yesterday saw the release of my newest book, THE OUTLET OMNIBUS, in both hardcover and paperback.
Here’s the description from the Lulu page:
A coyote plunges into Looney Tune bardos, A rabbit priest wanders through an absurdist wasteland, an ant watches his world fall apart, and a strange butcher loses himself to the innards of hallucinatory cattle. All this and more as Eric J. Millar brings together 10 years of his comics, art, and writing in THE OUTLET OMNIBUS. 11 books are included in their entirety, along with excerpts from 11 more and 60 pages of sketches and drawings from the decade of Eric’s now defunct publishing house, Outlet Press. Full books included in this volume: BROTHER LAPIN HAS A DAY, BILLY IN SEVEN PARTS, GHOSTY PROGRESSIONS, GHOSTY SUPPLEMENTAL, COYOTE DREAMING, OTHERWORLD, THREE CAGES, HAND OF LAW, MOUND, POISON TRAIL, and VACA. This book also features new introductions from Eric J. Millar, musician and explorer of the liminal Keats Ross, and occult raconteur Saul Mondriaan.
There were two big reasons for me to release this volume.
First, I’ve put out a ton of books, over twenty in the last decade, and it’s both difficult and expensive to get them all. I looked toward Edward Gorey’s Amphigorey collections for inspiration.
Secondly, I’m tired of publishing through Amazon. I appreciate their print on demand platform and how it gave me the opportunity to release these books but I can’t stand the company or the culture it is helping to foster. With the release of the Omnibus I have chosen to put all but two of my Amazon exclusive titles out of print. The only titles left on the Createspace platform will be The Portable Disruption Generator and BOTTOMLESS BAG but I’m looking into moving those over to Lulu eventually as well.
Here’s a bit of a preview of what you will find inside:
Here are the links again for the hardcover and paperback.
This book truly is the culmination of ten years worth of my work. I hope y’all will give it a try.
Haunt on…
